Bonum Home Improvement has been helping homeowners across Melbourne since 2014. We combine practical experience, reliable workmanship and honest advice to make renovations and property improvements easier to plan.
Our Story
Bonum Home Improvement has been part of our life in Australia since 2014.
Before moving to Melbourne, I already had practical experience in construction and renovation work in Latvia. After arriving in Australia, I continued working in the same field and gradually built what became Bonum Home Improvement.
The business started with me working as a sole trader. Later it operated through the Baltic Family Trust, and today Bonum Home Improvement operates through Adaptx Pty Ltd. The business structure has changed over the years, but the Bonum Home Improvement name, our clients and the type of work we do have continued throughout.
Since 2014, we have worked on a wide range of homes and projects across Melbourne — from smaller repairs to bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, decking, pergolas, fencing, gates, plastering, painting, windows, doors and larger renovation work.
We have records for more than 1,090 individually verified past clients, and our records from the early years are incomplete. Based on the work completed during those years, we estimate that Bonum has now helped more than 1,200 clients since 2014.
A lot has changed since we started, but one thing has stayed the same: we try to give people practical advice and realistic pricing before they commit to a project.
That is also why we are building our new preliminary estimating system.
Over the years we have kept thousands of pieces of information from real Bonum jobs — quotations, measurements, materials, labour requirements and actual job costs. We can now use that history to compare a new enquiry with similar work we have completed before.
If a customer sends us photos, some basic measurements and a description of the work, the system can help us provide a realistic preliminary price range before a full site inspection.
It is not designed to replace experience or a proper final quote. Every house is different, and things like hidden damage, access, existing construction and material choices can change the final price.
The idea is simply to make the first step easier and give our customers a better answer to the question we hear all the time:
“Roughly how much will this cost?”
