To increase the usable living area and create a more open connection with the kitchen, we removed the existing load-bearing wall and installed a new engineered structural beam in accordance with the engineer’s design. The ceiling and surrounding structure were temporarily supported throughout the work, and the existing roof and ceiling members were securely connected to the new beam with specified metal brackets and fixings before the opening was prepared for the next stage of the renovation.

This complete backyard transformation brought together a tiled swimming pool, covered spa area, custom sauna, timber decking, glass pool fencing, privacy screens, feature lighting and renewed landscaping. The pool was constructed from the ground up with integrated services, waterproofing, mosaic finishes and illuminated feature panels. Beside it, the custom sauna combines warm timber benches with dramatic dark wall lining and a natural river-stone feature around the heater. Vertical timber cladding, slatted screens and carefully detailed outdoor zones connect the separate elements into one private recreation area designed for relaxation throughout the year.
View project photosAn irrigation failure caused extensive plant loss across the vertical garden modules on this multi-storey residential building. Working from a boom lift, the damaged and dead plants were carefully removed from the elevated façade planters and replaced with a varied selection suited to the existing living-wall system. The work restored greenery across the building while requiring careful access and handling at height around windows, façade screens and planter frames.
View project photosThis substantial Toorak backyard transformation required extensive clearing, excavation and reshaping before the new outdoor areas could be built. We formed and poured the new retaining edges and garden levels, renewed the boundary finishes, created structured planting beds and installed new plants throughout. Artificial turf, stone edging, paths and a warm timber platform completed the practical low-maintenance garden, turning a tired and uneven backyard into a clean, usable and carefully organised outdoor space.
View project photosWe removed and replaced the weatherboards across the entire house, upgraded the external-wall insulation and installed a new weather-resistant building wrap before fitting the new cladding. Careful detailing around windows, doors, pipes and other penetrations completed the building envelope and gave the home a clean, consistent exterior finish.
View project photosWe refurbished the foyer at the Melbourne Latvian Community House with a coordinated programme of flooring, joinery and painting work. The existing carpet was replaced throughout the foyer and staircase, two large mirrors were installed, and new melamine bar counters were built to suit the curved interior. The walls, columns and surrounding surfaces were repaired, prepared and repainted. The completed work refreshed the public entrance while carefully retaining the building’s distinctive mosaic artwork and original architectural character.
View project photosWe repaired and restored the period verandah posts and decorative elements across this Keysborough brick home. The verandah was temporarily supported while deteriorated sections were repaired, decorative post capitals were carefully stripped and prepared, and the posts, brackets, lacework and surrounding timberwork were repainted in the original-style colour scheme. The completed work renewed the façade while retaining its detailed heritage character.
View project photosWe refreshed this rental property with coordinated improvements across the kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet, laundry and adjoining rooms. The kitchen was modernised with repainted cabinetry, new handles, benchtops, appliances, tiled splashbacks and floor tiles. The bathroom received updated tiling, a new vanity and shower screen, while the toilet, laundry, storage and internal finishes were repaired and repainted. Damaged ceiling coatings were also repaired, and an internal wall opening was altered as part of the practical layout upgrade. The completed work created bright, durable and easy-to-maintain spaces ready for new tenants.
View project photosWe replaced the deteriorated timber retaining walls around this sloping Boronia garden and paved driveway. The old weathered sleepers and posts were removed and renewed with treated timber sleepers held between galvanised steel posts. The new walls were carefully stepped to follow the existing ground levels, garden beds, paths and entrance steps, creating a strong, tidy edge around the landscaped areas while retaining the established planting. Because Boronia was well outside our usual work area, we stayed on site and completed the final section after dark rather than returning for another long trip.
View project photosWe converted one wing of an existing Bentleigh office building into a massage salon. The fit-out included constructing a shower, installing a long bar-style benchtop with storage cabinetry and sink, replacing the existing sliding doors with standard hinged doors, replacing every suspended-ceiling panel and repainting the ceiling grid. We also installed the new flooring, hung the feature wallpaper and completed the surrounding finishes. The shower glass was installed by another contractor after our work was finished.
View project photosWe transformed an existing Bentleigh office into a beauty salon, dividing the premises into two functional areas with a new metal-stud wall. Water and drainage services were brought in from below through the adjoining multi-storey car park, with coordinated plumbing and electrical works for the sink, cabinetry and salon equipment. We repaired cracks and holes throughout, completed plastering and painting, applied frosted privacy film to the windows, installed feature wallpaper, laminate flooring, skirting boards and IKEA cabinetry. The suspended-ceiling grid was repainted, new ceiling tiles were fitted, the obsolete ceiling air-conditioning units were removed and a new air conditioner was installed.
View project photosWe built a substantial freestanding timber support structure for two apple trees in a Mont Albert garden. Three heavy timber posts carry a continuous top beam, creating two strong framed bays. Black steel mesh panels and horizontal chains provide practical training and support points as the trees grow, while the warm timber finish contrasts cleanly with the dark boundary fence and metalwork. The result is a durable, purpose-built garden feature designed to support the fruit trees and organise their future growth.
View project photosThis Malvern home required replacement of deteriorated fascia boards around the high, multi-level roofline. Access was particularly challenging because several sections sat above sloping roofs, established landscaping and narrow spaces between buildings. To retain the original architectural appearance, we sourced specially ordered fascia boards matching the existing profile. The damaged boards were replaced, prepared and painted to blend with the surrounding exterior, renewing the roof edges while preserving the character of the home.
View project photosThe existing load-bearing roof beam had severely rotted and begun to fracture, creating a dangerous structural condition. We carefully propped the roof, raised it back to the required level and installed a new structural beam. The surrounding frame was repaired and reset at the correct height before we rebuilt the exterior cement-sheet boxing. Inside the covered terrace, we repaired the plasterboard, applied new render to match the original finish and repainted the completed area, restoring the previous appearance with renewed structural support.
